Nicaragua--kidsMissions Funding Priorities

While we recognize numerous valid and biblical spending priorities, we believe God is calling us to focus on the three key areas identified in our vision statement. All external requests for funding (from outside the church) must fit into one of these three key focus areas: Montana church planting, international missions, and campus ministries.

1. Montana church planting will be a priority for four reasons: the centrality of the church in God's mission to the world, the great need for churches in Montana, the relative absence of other advocates for this mission focus area, and our geographic proximity.

2. International missions will involve two projects--preferably in geographic proximity.Nicaragua--working

  • First, we want to develop a long-term partnership with a PCA mission planting viable, reproducing, indigenous reformed churches, particularly in an area where the church is weak and reformed witness is non-existent. We place a priority on training that promotes a distinctly reformed world and life view by equipping indigenous people to minister to their culture.
  • Second, we desire to develop a long-term partnership with a PCA mercy ministry in this hemisphere that would facilitate regular short-term mission trips with varying areas of specialty. This project should involve a strong element of personal accountability; the ministry must have a spokesperson who can interact in person regularly with our church family, thus promoting mutually-edifying, long-term interaction (regular short-term mission trips, personal reporting, etc). The project should also involve the poorest of the poor.

3. Campus ministry will be our third priority. While we desire to move eventually toward establishing a Reformed University Fellowship, we will also consider supporting members of our church involved in other campus ministries.
